We have a rich heritage that comes from the amalgamation of Anglican and Lutheran traditions. St. David can trace its Anglican roots to a small mission church that went out on its own over 60 years ago. Our Lutheran heritage comes from Holy Cross, a small but dedicated group that operated as a mission of a church in nearby Midland since 1989.

At the national level, the Anglican and Lutheran churches work closely together, and there are strong liturgical similarities between the two. Since 2001, they have been in mutual Full Communion. After extensive discussions at the local level, the St. David Anglicans and the Holy Cross Lutherans came together to form one of the first Anglican-Lutheran congregations in Canada.
